Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey at Gingerreadslainey and is now hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes. Every week, book reviewers all over the world are given a bookish topic and respond with their top 5 books (or elements of books) that relate to that topic. This week’s Top 5 Wednesday topic is your top five favorite science fiction and fantasy cover art. This topic is pretty similar to my Top 10 Tuesday topic yesterday, but for this list, I did not reuse any of the covers from the other. So this will be a rather short and sweet post today. Here are some of my favorite SFF covers! 🙂
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
The Evaporation of Sofi Snow by Mary Weber
Spellslinger by Sebastian de Castell
Tyrant’s Throne by Sebastian de Castell
A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab
Which SFF books have some of your favorite cover designs? Let me know in the comments!
Schwab gets awesome cover art! Just based on the covers of Spellslinger and Tyrant’s Throne, I want to read them. 🙂

You have a great taste in book covers! My favourites among the ones you listed are Spellslinger (I love the playing card format and the contrast between the reds, whites and blacks) and The Evaporation of Sofi Snow (the stunning beehive pattern).

I’ve yet to read V.E. Schwab’s work yet, but I always love the covers when I see them. Great post! 🙂

The Greatcoats series by Sebastian de Castell has such beautiful covers! And also Spellslinger is beautiful as well, apparently the covers of de Castell’s books are simply great. 😉 Also YESS to the Shades of Magic series, those covers are simply gorgeous as well.

The UK edition of Strange the Dreamer for sure. Also, Six of Crows/Crooked Kingdom are gorgeous. The UK edition of the Mistborn trilogy and the covers for A Court of Thorns and Roses/Fury/Ruin are also striking/nice. Not much for Sci-Fi but I like the look of Illuminae.

I’ve never heard of Spellslinger before but the cover made me put it on my TBR!
